A modern approach to education is one of the most important things to look for when choosing an Adelaide early learning centre. Rather than trying to fit all children into one box, we allow them to explore the world around them and develop their educational pathways. All children learn differently, and we encourage all learning styles.
Aside from that, you should look for a team of accredited educators, a strong Early Learning Framework and safe facilities for your child. Also, make sure you check parent reviews and testimonials.
We offer a range of different learning activities, including play-based learning. All meals are included, and we regularly organise excursions, incursions and other types of community involvement to to broaden your child’s experiences. With wonderful gardens, a purpose-built kitchen and multiple educational rooms, your child has a welcoming, warm environment that encourages them to learn and discover.
We cater to all children prior to their formal schooling. That means we provide childcare and education for babies 6 weeks old right through to our pre-school and kindy programs for children up to 5 years old.
You can read through our website to find important information about our centre, but booking a tour is the best way to learn more. Simply book online, and we’ll arrange a time to show you through our facilities and answer any questions you may have.
If you go on holiday and don’t require care for a certain period of time, just let us know in advance. You won’t be charged for the time you’re away. However, please note that when applying for Child Care Subsidy (CCS), you are only eligible for 42 absences per calendar year. Ensure you give us plenty of notice before your holiday to ensure your child isn’t considered ‘absent’.
Through Services Australia, the government provides Child Care Subsidy (CCS). It’s best to contact Services Australia for more information because the amount available is different for everyone, depending on their circumstances.
The Child Care Subsidy is a federal government initiative to help parents with the cost of childcare. The amount you’re entitled to depends on your income and individual circumstances. As such, we cannot advise on any amounts payable, but rather direct you to the Services Australia website to find out more details.

The Early Years Learning Framework is a national curriculum designed to ensure quality and consistency in early education. The framework covers all learning up to age 5 years old and helps support children with the transition to formal school.
When children are first born, everything is new. Their curious minds have so much information to take in about their surroundings and the world around them. Most importantly, though, the brain develops much faster up to the age of 5, meaning that without knowing it, children are already establishing their learning pathways during these years.
For the reasons above, children have so much to learn during the years before school. Their brains are more receptive to learning, too, so it’s a great time for children to experience as much as possible. In addition, early learning provides a level of routine and structure that children experience during formal school, helping with the transition when the time comes.
In very simple terms, daycare is about providing supervision and care for children during the day. Of course, play and learning can be part of a daycare program, but it isn’t regulated. Early learning falls under the national Early Years Learning Framework, which is a curriculum designed to support children’s early educational development.
Burnside AELC is located near the city and Southern Eastern freeway in the suburb of Tusmore, close to many prestigious schools and colleges.
